Fixes written down so you never solve them twice
spac3.co.za is a personal notebook of Linux, Git, home automation and electronics how-tos, plus the prompts I use with AI coding tools. It is written for tinkerers who landed here from a search result and want the commands, not a story.
sudo nano /etc/systemd/logind.conf
# set HandleLidSwitch=ignore, then:
systemctl restart systemd-logind

What you will find here
Posts: one problem, one fix
Each post is a problem I hit and the steps that fixed it, commands included. Topics so far: Linux, Git, Proxmox, photo files and electronics. Read the posts.
Note stash: commands, little explanation
Command collections for Docker, Git, Linux, Raspberry Pi and Home Assistant, plus ESP8266 flashing notes. Written for me, shared as they are. Open the note stash.
AI: the prompts I give Claude Code
The global instructions and the UX guideline I load into every Claude Code session, as copyable text. See the prompts.
Start with these
- Linux shutdown on laptop lid close: keep a laptop running as a Proxmox server with the lid shut.
- Automating SSH setup for Bitbucket on Windows: a script that creates the key and config in one run.
- Pushing a local folder to a remote Git repository: the exact commands for an empty remote and for a remote that already has commits.
What this is not
Not a product and not a company blog. There is no newsletter and nothing to buy. Some notes are rough, because they were written for the next time I need them.
